Simple question about walking - Please Read!

Hey everyone! I just have a question. If I am walking/running 10 miles every day do I need to rest in between? It's nothing tootedious and I started off with 5 miles every week and then slowly increased it to 10 miles. I do sweat and I do get tired but not overly exhausted. I know that that when I was doing 5 miles, I would allow my muscles to relax every other day. But I guess now that I've been doing these for over 2 months I was wondering if I still need a break.

Also my sister is barely starting to exercise. She weighs about 310 lbs and is doing about 2-4 miles a day of PURE walking. Does she need to take rest days? even if she's just walking? Also, how many? Like one day she walks, then one day she rests? Or could she do two days walking, one rest....or even three days walking, one rest. I'm not sure what to tell her since she weighs a lot more than I did when I started so maybe she needs more rest...or maybe it doesn't really matter.

I started off at close to 180lbs and right now I'm down to 142lbs.


My goal weight is 120lbs (I'm 5'5 by the way)
