signed up for personal trainer

I signed up for a personal trainer, and I get 36 sessions with her. We work out for an hour doing various different exercises. I've asked her when I will start to see results but she didn't really give a definite answer. She said every body type is different and it depends on the weight. I'm just wondering if anyone else has worked out with one and when they started to see results. I've had four sessions so far. I know I wouldn't see anything now, though I do feel it a lot. I have three more next week. We do three sessions a week. Plus I've started working out at night as well just on my own doing cardio. I'm not exactly overweight, but I do have a belly that I'm trying to get rid of. I'm 140 and 5'4. She told me the bigger a person is, the faster they'll start seeing results. I'm also a lot hungrier than I used to be. I feel like I have to eat every few hours. I don't eat junk though, I'm on a meal plan she gave me and I had to cut out chocolate... :( (it will be worth it though in the end) I'm really hoping by the summer I'll be thin so I can look good when I wear a bathing suit.
 
What your trainer said is correct. No one can tell you when you'll start seeing results - everyone is different. And the truth is that most people don't see the results in themselves at first. When I first started working out with my trainer, the changes were so gradual to me that I never saw them, even though my friends and co-workers noticed them first.

Don't get hung up on it. :)
 
Make sure you have a picture of your current body weight, or before you started training. If you don't then go get a camera and take a picture right now.

That's what I did, and it really help because you will be able to see the results when you compare photos. Since you see your body the most, you won't notice the gradual differences. I remember when I gained weight, I didn't realyl notice it until pants started not fitting and such.

Losing weight is the same way. I'd give it at least 2 months until you see REALLY noticeable results. But like your trainer said, every person is different.

That's great you have a trainer though!
