Side Affects of eating right and excercise

Alright; What are the side affects of eating right and excercising you have all obeserved. I love the ones I have:

The one that tops the list is "Feeling Good and Looking great". I have never felt so happy and so nice to be able to look into the mirror and look at a person whom I dont have turn my face away from.

Second; great skin. From all the water and the excercise and the healthy no oil foods I get my skin never felt this great. I just love love love it.

Third; shiny hair; with all the protein; veggies; healthy food my hair are shiny and lusturous.

Not to mention the new wardrobe ; the defined waist; slimmer thighs as ohappydaye said the ones that dont burst out of the pants - with all the spinning classes I have been taking (thanks ohappydaye I had forgotten about this ) and the looks I get and the compliments I recieve on how good I look and how I am a role model for some of them.

Oh I feel on top of the world and I promise myself I will never never go back to my old ways...and will remain on this road to good health.

Let me know what are the side affects you are going through.

:D

My biggest side effect: NEW THIGHS....:D :D :D the ones that don't burst the seams of your pants! Yayy!

I have noticed the very same thing about my hair. That's pretty darn cool.

A few that come to mind:
  • Being able to run whenever I want to.
  • Less heavy colds, not so affected by bugs.
  • Not being so afraid of the camera.
  • Walking into interviews and feeling more confident.
  • No indigestion - no more heartburn or discomfort.
  • Enjoying food more.
  • Enjoying food shopping more.
  • Enjoying a treat as it should be.
  • Wearing tighter and smaller size clothes.
  • Shopping for clothes.
  • Better flexibility - being able to squeeze past, crouch, climb easier.
  • Being able to walk into a sports shop and buy a skimpy pair of swimming trunks.
  • Being able to sleep so much better - no more palpitations of the heart.
  • Knowing that you've put over six months of good work into building a stronger heart and that you may live a bit longer.
  • Better skin
  • Feeling those lean muscles developing instead of flabby fat.
  • The improved sense of self belief.
  • Last but not least - the better sex! Mrs Ferret isn't complaining!

Last but not least - the better sex! Mrs Ferret isn't complaining!

I guess I have to lose more than 13 lbs to notice THIS side effect:rolleyes:

The only one I have noticed so far is that I am a bit happier, because I KNOW I am doing something to make my life better. I'll add more when they happen:D

* Not feeling winded going up stairs.
* Going down a dress size.
* Feeling better about myself without relying on other peoples comments because I can see the results. Raised self esteem I guess you can say.
* Shopping at a bigger variety of stores, not just plus size ones.
* Getting attention from people that normally would not have looked at me 20 lbs bigger.

The main one is looking at myself and seeing a person i like and can be happy with.
I hate being overweight and i am changeing that, but it takes time.
But in saying that i reccon you discover so much about yourself in that time.

I have more patience with myself and trust myself more. I learned what works for me and I'm able to help and inspire others that are wearing my old shoes.

Also flexibility and feeling in control of myself. It also helps me believe I can do other things.

I'm a newbie and just want to say what a great thread! You guys have made me reallly excited about experiencing these side effects for myself one day! Thanks for the motivations!!!!!!!

lol, having my husband gropeing me any chance he gets! its totally revamped our relationship!
also getting looks from other guys for once!

*Being SO much more confident with only a few pounds loss.
*Being more attractive to my fiance. *wiggle*
*Buying from the Juniors section!
*Clearer skin
*Sleeping better
*Having more energy and positive emotions
*Loving food in a good way - ex-anorexic here is liking this side effect
*Not so squishy!

dare i say it - but a good mood...

and for that i blame the gym... either that or i've finally gone over the deep end stress wise and just free falling into the abyss :D but its really just a good mood - with moments of annoyances that i can laugh about :D

1. walking into a clothes store fully confident that I will fit into anything I like

2. having random strangers say "do you work-out?" don't know why but that one gets me everytime

3. no longer worrying that one of my "pre's" (i.e. pre-diabetic) is going to turn into an "existing"

4. having muscles!!!! I probably look like I'm feeling myself up cause sometimes I can't resist givin' em a little happy, semi-disbelieving squeeze.

5. and the biggest, best one of all: no longer feeling like food is controlling my life!

One side effect I remember from my fit days was absolute clarity and focus in my thinking..Its seems that my body AND my mind got out of shape when i packed on the weight...Now I have a hard time concentrating and focusing....

People tend to dwell on the effects fat has on the body- but how about on the brain? How about on a person's thinking and concentration abilities?

The other side efffect was boundless energy- I would run 3 hours and feel even more energized when i got home-

These days, being fat, Im always tired....After a 3 hour power walk, rather than being energized, i just want to get home and sleep...

Getting hit on by people......and all this time I thought I just couldn't tell when people checked me out.

Now 40 lbs later I realize they weren't checking me out. :(

But now it's very obvious! Makes my day sometimes.....
