yeah i do quite a bit of stretching, i also noticed that when have my arm out and move it around in circles it crunches... i do a fair bit of boxing any ideas if it could be from that?

You could try doing 1 handed press ups to strengthen it???
(Bear in mind that I know absolutely Jack about muscles and tendons!)

Might be something. Your posts above make it sound recent. You might want to get it checked out, as opposed to letting it slide for an "n" duration. From what I read, it sounds like you must have some kind of bone-on-bone thing going on, or your ligaments are effed up from punching wrong. But don't take that as professional advice.

do you notice a pain when you rotate your shoulder too?

I injured a shoulder in a sparring session back in november, I had pain when I lifted my arm and I could feel it catch when I rotated it full. Turns out I had a strained rotator cuff.

6 weeks later and its finally getting better, but I had to take it easy for a while.

ahhh no i heard they take quite a bit to get better :(
um yeah it hurts when i rotate my sholder just as i get to the top bit it feels like it catches, argh i cant be bothered with more injuries haha

mine still bothers me a little bit...

Megan, the shoulder can be tricky. It's always advisable to go see a professional, such as a physiotherapist. Your next step would (if you are in school) to consult an athletic trainer (if they have one) to run you through some tests to rule out a rotator cuff injury.

It could be teh AC joint, the long head of the biceps giving you trouble, or even the labrum. You might try icing it 15-20 minutes every few hours for the next couple of days and see if that helps.
