Shoulder Injury

Hi guys,
Long time no talk LOL. I wanted to get some advice from you guys. Day before yerstaday when i was in gym and doing my shoulder exercise, i tried to lift some weights and my shoulder kinda went backwards and i heard some cracking noise and it started hurting, so i quit the gym that day and came back. Now the shoulder does'nt hurt that much but it does hurt a little when i lift my shoulder.

I am guessing my shoulder popped up and and then went back into place. It has happened the 2nd time now. The first time was when i fell off in the shower like a month ago and same thing happened but no injury and the pain got off in like a month. I went to the doc at that time and she said that XRAY was fine.

I am wondering if its a regular thing and if i should continue doing the shoulder exercise? Maybe some light shoulder exercise which you guys can recommend.

Thanks a lot guys.

The anatomy of the shoulder is very unique in contrast to the other joints in the body.
To me it sounds as if you tore a tendon or possibly a muscle around the shoulder bone, I strongly recommend you get a second opinion from a second doctor have him look at the MRI and allow him to take a second MRI if need be.

In the meantime do not do any exercises that take your hands out of your sight (meaning no military press or anything where you can not see your hands throughout the entire motion.)

oh man, now you got me really scared LOL. So how bad is damaging a tendon or a muscle around the bone? I really hate MRI's lol. If its a tendon or a damaged muscle, will medicines take care of it?

Thanks a lot for the heads up.

lol Sorry i dont mean to, I understand why you do not like MRI's and its a perfectly reasonable worry.

Well in all honesty its so dependent on the type of injury, If it did just "dislocate" Then you are likely suffering from some inflammation right now which is why it hurts to raise your arm. However, The little cracking noises indicate to me that you might have torn something. If this is the case then its really best to let the professional answer your question.

In the meantime it might be help full to take two baby aspirins a day taken with a FULL 8once glass of Warm water to help with inflammation.
