Shoulder Blade pain

Started to have pain periodically near the edge of that area after i slipped and fell. Was told it was a bruised muscle. Is there anyway to help the muscle heal more effectively or quicker?

There are a few.
Ice and warm treatment, apply ice for a minute then something warm, not hot, for a minute repeat no more than 3 times in one sitting and 3 lots of it in a day.
The most gentle stretches will open the blood vessels which all the damaged tissue etc. will need to be removed along. Only to be done with extreme care, too much would cause more damage.
Some therapeutic massage to help move blood out of the affected area, done by someone who knows what they are doing and sends the blood to your heart not further into your body.
Rest and gravity, the force many forget when it comes to blood flow. Basically rest up with the affected area elevated so in this case laying on your front.

If these are the only options I will be very surprised, but they are what comes to my mind first.

You should definitely go and consult with orthopedic doc not a chiropractor.

How long have you been feeling pain? If you have been feeling pain for more than a week constantly after that accident then there is something wrong had happened.

As far I know that the shoulder blade is part of the same nerve root that goes down our arm to your index finger. But your problem is probably related to a pinched nerve in your neck.

But there are some alternative ways also. You may try it by yourself such as heat and cold. This is the most effective pain relief.
