I want to start building muscle, and have a pretty good handle on routines and diet. But I'm 68 kilos (22.7 BMI, body fat percentage of 14.2, and 149lb). That's a) a little heavier than most people my age, even if it's a perfectly healthy weight and b) a lot heavier than most of the success stories I've read, on here and on other sites. I know it's not lean enough to show my abs: I want to build my abs, not simply show the ones I've already got.
What I want to know is: should I burn some weight off before I start building muscle, or should I just start building muscle now?
