should I have a cheat day?

I've been tossing around the idea in my head of having a cheat day once a week, especially after a co-worker who's lost a good amount of weight suggested it. Not because I want the "bad" food and feel deprived, but because I've heard a few places that if you're really strict with dieting you're body adapts and you're weight loss slows down. I started out doing 2000 cals a day and that worked for about a month and then I stalled so I dropped to about 1500 a day and that's still working fine, but if a cheat day would help to keep my body from adapting then I would do it.

I would start out with a cheat MEAL and make sure you are measuring your progress. You can try a cheat day but this will tend to hinder progress for most.

The reason some have a day when they eat more is
1) to refill on glycogen so that you have the strength to work out hard and thereby keep more muscle(lots of carbs, little fat)
2) makes it easier on the psyche to know you have that day coming

For weightloss its no bonus tho, it wont boost metabolism or anything like that.

i agree with the other on this i would start off with at least one cheat meal justot see how your body can take it then if it all works well the go to two and then just slowly go to one more meal bu i am not saying so al thta in one day i am saying over a few weeks time but over all i would say not to cheat
