short stride vs longer stride

Hey, my lap top has been down up and going again...
I have been a runner for over 20 yrs. 5k's to half marathons. I have very long legs but a short stride when I run, is there drills one can do to have a longer stride when running without injury? I feel it would help my time a little as well. I don't fret on time so much I consider myself a endurance runner and always have fun with it. I Would like to have a bit of a longer stride in my runs.

Just time and discipline I am afraid. Constantly thinking about your strides and extending them. Good news is once done it stays, bad news long strides makes for dreadful sprints.
