Shayner's Journal

Okay, 2.5 years ago I was almost 18, and I was in good shape, then I got a new computer job, and was in a slacked technical college renting a room out of a house and barely leaving my chair for about 2 years.

I was 5'9, 140lbs.

2 years later (around half a year ago) I peeked out at 5'11, 185 pounds (really chubby looking with man boobs and a beer belly) and decided it was time for a lifestyle change. I've spent most of the past half year getting my grades together and am now attending a great school (I live on campus.) I have access to a brand new gym with the following accommodations: treadmills, treadclimber, elliptical machine, spin bikes, and a variety of machines that are used for resistance, there are about 15 machines that work out certain parts of your body. So I've been hitting them up about 4 times a week for the past two weeks. My muscles have been hurting almost every day... instead of driving to school I live on campus so I am walking up 10-11 flights of stairs a day and probably walk around 5 miles or more a day.

The past week I'd say, I've lost a considerable amount of my double chin and my beer belly, I'm estimating about 4 pounds of weight loss this week (I weigh 173 or so at the moment.) :)

Anyways, I guess my goal should be around 165 with some abs and some decent pecs and guns :)

What do you guys think? Later

at the moment, I weigh about 5 pounds more than usual... not exactly sure why but I can tell that my double chin is shrinking lol...

as far as meals go, it's pretty harsh, I eat two regular meals a day (lunch and dinner, usually a wrap or sandwich) and if I'm hungry I usually snack on beef jerky or granola bars. Usually drink skim milk or water.

I usually go to the gym every day, 20 mins on the spin bike or other cardio machines like the ellipticals, and about 30 mins on various weights.

I really need help with my excersise routine, because that is something I can improve upon
