So I just started working out to build up my chest a bit from basically scratch, and I've been hearing that pushups + dumbbell flyes are the best way to go.
At home I've been doing sets of pushups followed by some dumbbell flyes on the floor, but as soon as I start the dumbbell flyes I feel a very sharp pain in my left elbow. The only way I can describe it is that it's on the inner-part of my elbow, right where the "funny bone" is. I only feel the pain in my left elbow when I lower my arms doing the dumbbell flyes; any other time it feels fine... no pain afterward at all. My right elbow feels perfectly fine the whole time.
I was wondering if anyone had any what is going on here and had a solution. If not, are there any other chest exercises that work as well as dumbbell flyes I can do at home with just some hand-weights and a bench?
