Sharp and and bottom back pain, PLEASE HELP

Okay, I've always been a bit bigger my whole life, and I decided to start working out on my own time for about 30 min. a day.
-For about a week everything went great, I felt better and it seemed like some abs were coming in, but after a week of working out (crunches, push ups, all at home muscle exercises I could think of) I am now getting HUGE pain in my abs and lower back whenever I do curls, crunches or anything ab related, even when I do push ups the extream sucking in of the abs while doing them hurts.
--I think this pain might be coming from a shock of the body? but it really is affecting my workout and is disappointing me greatly on my progress because it seems I can't do half the exercises I was doing before.
---Please help? any comments? helpful advice?

Kevin

I am not diagnosing your problem but it seems that you have not done a stabilization phase.
This leads to muscular imbalances and force is not distributed properly. Your major muscles are tring to reduce, produce, and stop force by themselves putting excessive pressure on your lumbar spine. When you excercise use light weights and look for workouts that include a medicine ball. ALSO, do somethin called a "drawing in maneuver" its going to help tabilize your core. That includes the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex, thoracic spine and cervical spine.

Here's how you do it.
Get on your hands and knees, and suck your stomach in and hold it for 6-20 seconds. do that three times. and look up stabilization excercises. whenever you do these exercises suck your stomach in a little bit this is going to work the transverse abdominis. it is somewhat resonsible for spinal stabilization. andd when you do ANY functinal movement. make sure your spine is in the neutral position.

This should/might fix any problams you have unless you have.

PM me if you have further questions

Hey, I don't quite understand what you mean by itchy? if you could explain more in depth i might be able to offer some reasonable advice. As of now I can't because I've never heard of how to counter an itchy back other than scratching it. lol, I had to make a joke. anyways, please write back more in depth and I will try and help as best as I can.

The pain is probably just coming from a pulled muscle so stop training your abs so much and let them recover

What is your training like on the whole? If you're not training your lower back as much as your abs then you're probably going to get a whole lot more injuries like this in the future. The key thing to aim for is balance, your abs are tiny compared to your back and you need to remember that when planning your training
