I found this pullup workout on the Essential Reading page and I would like to give it a try:
My only concern is how it will fit in with my current routine. It calls for pullups and/or pushups 5 days a week (Monday-Friday). Would it interfere with my current routine, which looks like this:
Full Body Workout (3x a week)
Workout 1 - 5x5
Chest: Incline or Flat Bench
Back: Bent Over Rows
Pullups (switching b/t overhand and underhand grips)
Quads: Squats
Hamstrings: RDL
Biceps: Curls
Abs
Workout 2 - 4x8
same as above, but I switch up the exercises a bit (i.e. incline instead of flat bench). I also do different isolations, like skull crushers instead of curls so that I don't focus too much on one muscle group.
Workout 3 - 7x3
Same as above, but switch it up
I substitute deadlifts once a week for my quad and hammy exercises too.
So my question is, would it be ok if I just threw in that pullup routine with my current routine? I would be doing pullups on my off-days of course, so would this be overtraining?
