It seems like I've been down this road before, but I'm going to take control of my body and my appetite.
Just like everyone else, I have challenges. I eat too much of the wrong foods and don't exercise at all. I am a software engineer, so I spend my days sitting at a desk typing. At home, I already don't feel I have enough time to spend with my beautiful wife and 15 month old daughter - but I know if things don't change, I may not be around long enough to grow old with them.
So here's my kick-off stats and "before" pictures. My first goal is that I want to get down to my college weight of 214 pounds. You can also track my food and exercise at my dailyburn.com log at
Edit: You can also follow my weekly weigh-in results at
Basic Stats:
gender: male
age: 30
height: 6'2"
January 4, 2010
weight: 277 lbs (BMI: 35.6)
