Scale recommendation

I need a scale for my house, currently don't have one, with the exception of the Wii Balance Board used for Wii Fit, which my kids use.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable scale? A link would be great. I don't need one too fancy, that tracks my weight loss/gain or tells body fat % (I don't want to know that), but a scale that's accurate. Between hopping on the scale at the gym, friend's house, etc., my weight fluctuates by 10 pounds. How do I know I'm progressing in my weight loss goal if it's not accurate?

Thanks in advance.

I really like my digital scale (not sure on brand since I'm at work, but it was about $30 at target). The only feature I would recommend is the ability to read in tenths of a pound as they seem to be more accurate. Most cheap crummy scales won't have this feature.

More then anything, weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time of day (and only that scale) for best results.

Hello SingleDad.

After all of this time (and 75 lbs lost ;) I finally decided to buy a scale a few days ago. I also got mine at Target. It is a Taylor 7023, and I paid $19.95 for it. It weighs to 2/10th's and is extremely consistent although I can't swear to the accuaracy. You can step on it and weigh xxx.4 lbs.... walk around the house, come back, and weigh xxx.4 lbs.... eat a bananna, and weigh xxx.6 lbs ! I actually did this ! :)

Another thing I like about this digital scale, compared to the old spring scales, is that it gives you one, solid number. Leaning around a little won't change that number. If you lean too much, it will just blink, and error out. No cheating these scales. They tell you what you weigh... for better, or for worse :)

What I'm tripping on is how much my weight varies each day, even though I weigh at the same time every morning, and my daily intake is very consistant.

Anyway, as I approach my weight goal (188, for an 80 lb loss), I'm weighing myself every day. But I've decided that because of the normal daily fluctuations, simply hitting 188.0 won't be quite good enough. I will actually wait until I average 188.0 for 1 week, before I start bumping up my carbs and cals.

Peace,
Fish
