Sarah's Daily Journey

Yeah, this will be a daily 'journey' because that's what life is, isn't it?? a journey.

Somedays life is harder than easier..but, we live and learn.

I think that it is hard to change habits that have been established early in life, but...that is what makes life a challenge. I, myself am an emotional eater...and I am working on changing that. See, sometimes weightloss is my psychological than physiological -- in your mind you have to decide to change before the change really can happen -- of course, this is my opinion, and I am evolving.

I am the type of person who celebrates and medicates by eating. If there is something wonderful that happens in my life or the lives of my loved ones...eat...bake a cake...make muffins...cupcakes...brownies. Also, if there is something horrible, the loss of a job, a death...a particularly long day at work..eat...etc etc.

Okay, I am ranting..

I'll check back later..

emotional eating

I am a big emotional eater, too. I have found journaling - I do most of mine on paper and some on here - to be very helpful in dealing with the emotions that I used to keep inside. I have also found that avoiding weighing myself is very beneficial, as it helps me to avoid the emotional rollercoaster that comes with the fluctuations of the scale. I highly recommend this idea if you are prone to getting discouraged and eating more when you see something disappointing on the scale. :)

I want to post something every day...so, maybe this is my little post today? Weekends are busy...gonna go make whole wheat waffles for the family...I'll try to post again later...thats my goal!

Hey Sarah!

I'm an emotional eater as well...sadly, that's not my only 'excuse'...I'm one of those "but food just tastes so GOOD" people.

But we can beat this together and enjoy food again - the right way! :)

Good luck!

Rant all your want! It's your diary! Lol! :D Why not post your food and exercise here every day? That way you can keep yourself accountable and we can offer you advice and support. :D

A daily quickie...lol..aren't they nice?

I am getting ready to jump on the treadmill for 20 min before the day really starts. I am pledging to do 20 min of exercise each day...which is hard sometimes, especially if you're out of practice.

I need to get the junk out of my house...

talk to you later, phone's ringing
