Hi All,
Just thought I'd introduce myself to the group since that's what I'm meant to do! :)

I'm 21 and a law student in Leeds, UK. I have the occasional sporty moment like playing rugby at school or doing some archery but never really stuck with anything in a big way!

I've never really been massively overweight and I have quite a 'big build' anyway so I guess it doesn't really show too much... until I take my shirt off, etc. Anyways, I've decided to do something about it. I'm in the fortunate position to have a 'home gym' in the sense that I have a rowing machine, exercise bike and weights bench in my house. Of course, I'm also in the unforunate position of being a bit lazy and liking my ben and jerrys' a bit too much. Of course, that's to change starting tomorrow.

I've already lost about half a stone in the last few months but then put on a pound in the last week as a result of failing to do exercise and the aforementioned draw towards ben and jerry's ;)

My aim is to get my BMI into the healthy range - seeing as I'm 5'10", I have to drop my weight from 184lb to about 168.

I'm planning on doing this by implementing three rather rational theories:
-Cut out the little snacky things that I buy when I'm bored
-Cut out the alcohol! Apart from social events when the occasion calls for it :)
-Start doing the exercise again

So yes, that's pretty much me and my plan for taking control of my body again

Hey, your plan looks good...I would like to suggest also that you start seriously drinking water, water is a surprising strong aid in weight loss.

welcome aboard and let me know if you have any questions :D
