Salutations All

Hello everyone, I've just started doing research on how to get in better shape, and decided to join up on the forums. I am a 36 year old male. I used to be very active then I fell pray to being a hardcore MMORPG player so I became more and more sedimentary as the years passed 11 years later I look in the mirror and hate what I see. Most people do not realize that im over weight and flabby as can be, I carry it very well due to my size I am 6ft 7in tall ( just over 2 meters ) I currently weigh in about 325 lbs ( 147.4 Kg ) and well I would like to slim down regain some energy and rebuild some lost muscle. I've never been much of a fitness buff to be honest but I need to change this. I've been studying the different body types and trying to determine mine so I can base my diet around it but its really confusing trying to figure out what I fall into.
 
Welcome to the forum! I don't think that knowing your body type is as important as just starting your training program. If you start resistance training (slowly and gradually) then you should start to rebuild some lost muscle mass.

There are some really good sticky threads in some of the forum sections, have you taken a look around the forum yet?
