Salad

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum. :) And I have a quick question. I used to workout all the time and for the last 10 months I totally gave up and gained about 20 pounds. For some reason I can't get back on track. I've been talking to some people about dieting again. I do know how to come up with a nice diet, but in the other side I don't have time like I used to. So my question is. What do you think about a "Salad diet" eat salad for lunch and dinner every day.... Do you think I'll get results from eating just salad?

Any feedback on this? I Appreciate!!!

Actually, a "salad" diet will be very counterproductive. Your going to put your body into starvation mode, no matter what. When your body senses a severe caloric deficit, it will burn fat, at first. Then it realizes that the deficit is permanent, your body will destroy its own muscle. Its a process that goes back to prehistoric times. The body protected its energy stores for famine.

The best way to lose a few lbs is eating a good clean diet, providing yourself with a slight (500 calories) caloric defecit, and regular exercise.

A salad diet wouldn't be so bad if you're talking a salad with a buttload of vegetables, plenty of chicken, maybe some nuts and cheese, croutons, and a wheat roll to go with it :) Pretty well rounded meal, with plenty of veggies, protein, and complex carbs.

Though, if you're going to be working out, you'll want some sugars, too.
