Running too far?

Hello :) I usually exercise by the elliptical or walking on the treadmill, but the other day I decided i would like to try running. I ran 2 miles, and the next 2 days I'm ridiculously sore. Should I only run 1 mile next time? I understand that my body isn't used to running, but should I cut back how much I ran, even though it didn't hurt while running? Thanks!
 
nope, not necessary. good question though.
stretching and massaging your muscles will help, so will taking a hot shower.
Also, if you have a little extra time, try walking about 10 more minutes, this will also help relax your muscles.
 
before starting running warm up your body with few easy exercises and then run how much you want to be. this will help you in relaxing your muscles.
