Well ive been poking in and out of threads on this site and decided to start a journal. Starting weight was 264, probably the higest I have ever weighed. I went to an Army Recruiter to enlist and they put me on a scale, 264, Holy ****:eek:. For all i knew i was 250, wasn't happy about that but it was doable.
I was able to drop the first 8 pounds pretty quickly, just going to the park and walking for 45 minutes and watching what i was eating, keeping meal calories down to around 400ish. I saw comercials for nutrisystem and decided to give it a try, so $300 bucks later i had 5 weeks of food coming, Idiot proof weight loss , which is a good thing, im a firm believer in the K.I.S.S system.

Everything was going good, i was doing PT(pushups, situps) at home, walk/jog at the park, and then i pushed myself WAY to hard and developed a stress fracture in my right leg,:mad: **** im screwed, or so I thought. Just so happens my firend has a 2 week membership for Gold's Gym. First day im there they start harrassing me to join, 300 bucks just to get started and here i am thinking i will ship out asap so spending that kind of money for 2 months is redicilious. The last day on my 2 week trail i get a call from the gym, they will wave all the fees and sign me up for $1 dollar:D I was all over that. So for anyone who is still reading this, thanks, i know it was long but that was the backstory that got to where I am today.

Sum it up:
Start 264
Lost 8 lbs
Start Nutrisystem
Loose another 5 lbs
Get Hurt
Start Gym For $1
Lost 11 lbs

Currently 240
 
Last night I cheated, went to red lobster and im a sucker for those cheese biscuits they have, we all know the ones im talking about. Had a nice piece of grouper, and 2 Mickey Ultras(uck). Funny thing is, today I weighed myself expecting the worst and somehow I still lost some weight, my scale sucks but i know when i weigh 242 on it im really 240 and today the scale told me I officially broke my first goal of being under 240, im 238:D. Looks like all the weight training is starting to pay off.
 
Weight just keeps coming off. Its hard to imagine that 2 weeks ago i was doubting myself and my progress, because i couldn't see it. Im starting to get compliments from people I havn't seen for a while, thats always a good feeling. Down another pound today, Ive officially hit the middle mark, 27 down, 27 to go.
Nutrisystem sent me my next months order, and i got Blueberry muffins this time around for a breakfast item, And they rock.
 
Christmas was tuff, i put on 5 pounds in the 2 days. I was trying to be good, not eat anything crazy, but you can't help it. Hit the gym HARD yesterday, and got back on the diet and im back down to 236.
 
I know about those Red Lobster biscuits!!!!! Mmmm....I always let that be my guilty pleasure when I know I'm going :D Sooo yummy....I wanna go get some now lol thanks!
 
yikes 5lb! thats a lotta chocolate :)

Good to see you are on the ball at getting it off again though!
