Let's see, where to begin....
Well, I'm 25 years old and I've spent most of life overweight. I'm tired of making up excuses and I'm finally fed up. I started about a month ago cutting out the soda completely. It wasn't easy at first and but now I know, I can live without the stuff. I love my H2O!!!!
I started getting a little more serious as the weeks went on. What really hit me was when I was excited when I saw a friend to tell her that I lost 20 lbs and I was so happy. Well, she basically told me that she was watching what she ate too, however throughout the night told me that she went out for breakfast, lunch, and then icecream and a funnel cake later that night. (The full story is on another thread I posted). I was like, that's not watching what you were eating, and if it was, I'd hate to see how bad she ate before. The next night, I was bad and had some stuff I shouldn't have. That was my final straw!
I made it though the weekend and on Monday I found this wonderful forum. I needed to find people who were going through the same thing that I was and who I could talk to. Later that night my mom made cookies and instead of sitting there smelling them all night, my boyfriend and I went for a walk. We walked to my fire chief's house, then to my cousin, then to a friends house and then home. I felt great and I forgot how fun walking could be.
Tuesday didn't go how I had planned. I was fine all day, but when I got to my 2nd job (which is a dragway), they only had fried food left. So, I had a chicken sandwich. Usaully I have a grilled chicken or a chicken ceasar salad, but then ran out. (I definetely need to start packing a healthy snack to bring with me). So, I left bad, but I knew I was going to the fire house after work to workout. We just got a new firehall and they are still finishing up stuff, but we have a treadmill and some weights and that's all I really needed. So, I worked out for about an hour and then went home.
Wednesday during work was harder then I thought is was going to be. Someone brought in donuts and cakes for another persons birthday. Well, I over came the tempation and just made better choices. For breakfast I had oatmeal and instead of cake, since I was craving something sweet, I had a little 100 calorie bag of kettle corn. It was just enough sweet to satify my craving. Wenday night I worked out the fire house again (I think I'm in there then all the guys combined!) I had a great workout and towards the end, the guys had a call, so I went downstairs to cool off and put my stuff in the car. Well, my one upper friend was there along with two of my other friends, and they were ragging on me 'cause I had just worked out had a few peanutbutter crackers. I was alittle annoyed because earlier in the night when my boyfriend and i had called them, they were out looking for chocolate cake and when they showed up to the hall, they all had dunkin donuts and slurpees and what not. Argh, I was so annoyed. I couldnt' wait for my boyfriend to get back from the call so we could go home.
Last night was by far the best night I had. I ran home eat dinner, and then changed for work. (Usaully I just go from one job to the other). I brought two bananas with me. One to have as a snack around 8 and then one to have after my workout since the fire house is on my way back to my house. I got to the hall, (no one was there so it was a bit scarey), popped in my workout cd and then did my walk! Our treadmill has a little picture of a 1/4 mile track on it, and it lights up to show you if you were on a real track where you would be. I did 1/4 mile warm up at a low pace and then every quarter mile for a mile I did a faster pace and then a pace where I was almost running. Then then I did another quarter mile cooldown. By that time, my boyfriend was there. He had a few things to do, so some weights and then went home. I felt so refreshed and so great!
Today is pretty much the same schedule. Work the full time job, then work the part time job and then probably a half hour in the gym then over to my friends house for a bit. Tomorrow is going to be a long day for me. I'm gonna have to go hit the gym early and then go to work and then my boyfriend and I are heading down the shore in DE, so I won't have much time. Hopefully they have salads at work tomorrow, so I won't feel as bad. I might have to hit the grocery store to get some snacks for the shore house. I don't have a gym down there, but I'm sure I can go take a nice walk on the beach. Well, I'll probably back after the holiday. Hope everyone has a safe and healthy one!!!

) Then I finished packing, loaded up my car and was off to work. I only had a chicken ceasar salad for lunch and drank a whole lot of water. Then on the way to DBf's house, I stopped and got a grilled chicken sandwhich and picked up a few snacks for our little trip. I got dry roasted peanuts (they were out of almonds) and a box of 100 calories snacks). Then we were off.
I do have to say that I am feeling a lot better about myself. I didn't have spend the weekend dealing with the one upping friend and my mind and body got a nice little mini vacation! Yeah! Well, until next time!
What nerve does she have? Don't get me wrong, it's her wedding and she can invite who she wants, but come on now. We've been through so much together and I go to all her sons birthdays. At this point I'm ready to tell her to keep the darn fortyone cents for the stamp 'cause I'm not coming. It's amazing how someone can turn into a complete b-word once they get engaged.
