Rowing machine query

I had a thought yesterday at my local YMCA. I was working out, doing a day of cardio, and I realized something. The rowing machines are almost never used, and when I do see them being used, no one uses it longer than 5 minutes.

It's usually me sitting there by myself. I find it strange that no one uses these machines, as I enjoy them. So I suddenly began to feel very self-conscious, like people were looking at me strangely for being the only one on the rowing machine, and using it for longer than 5 minutes at a time.

Am I just crazy?

Why is no one replying? Is there some sort of hushed taboo secret about rowing machines that everyone else knows about except me?

Try Rowbiking instead of Rowing

Hi there!

I have run into your same situation when at my health club....nobody wants to row yet it considered to be both one of the best cardio workouts there is and it puts virtually no impact on the knees or joints!

I think one of the main reasons it doesnt get used much is because it tends to get a bit monotonous after a while....

There is a great product out by the inventor of Rollerblades called Rowbike that combines rowing and cycling into one effiecient workout! The kicker is that it is an outdoor machine so it gives you that motivation to stay on and you are actually enjoying it!

If you want to see how one works or learn more about them you can check em out at Great product!
