Routine Question

I can usually only get to the gym about 3-4 days a week but I enjoy my chest workouts most and take my bench a little more seriously then almost everything else I do.

My question is with a 3 day lay off from say thursday or friday until when i begin my workout week on monday am i more likely to have a stronger chest workout by doing it on monday after the weekend layoff or midweek after excersising a few other parts of my body.

Im just not sure if its more likely that im gonna be rusty on monday , or a little shot by midweek...but ultimately i wanna be in my best state when benching.

Any opinions?

You should treat every big compound lift equally important.

But what does a weekly schedule typically look like now? If you are going monday, wednesday, friday...then it shouldn't matter much. But, let's say you did shoulders and triceps thursday and wanna do chest on friday..now that just wouldn't make sense. If there is a solid day of rest in between you should be ok.

If you lift enough, you shouldn't be rusty by the time monday comes around if you wanna take the few days off.
