Hi everybody! I'm Rose, I'm 23 (24 in a month but I don't want to think about it :p). I live in Italy, near Verona (the city of Romeo and Juliet). My father is Italian and my mother's American. I lived in New York for four years when I was a child and I still speak a little English, even if my mother keeps telling me it's absolutely not enough!

I'm here because I want to lose 10 kgs or 22 lbs. I've been on a diet for 2 years and I've lost 45 lbs, but these last 22 just won't go. I really need to work harder and control more what I eat. I hope that knowing more people who are having the same problems will help me stay on track and be stronger when the inevitable difficult moments come along.

I'll take a look around and will soon start a diary of my own.

I'll see you around!

Rosie

Hi, thank you for your welcome!

I basically started eating correctly and exercising more. My eating habits were really bad so the first 10 lbs came off pretty easily when I started eating healthy. I
I haven't been losing weight quickly but the important thing to me is that it stays off. Lately I'm trying to exercise more, 'cause I've always been a little lazy. I try to make little improvements, like walking to work or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. I also do cardio 3 times a week for 40 minutes.

Hello and welcome!

I also do cardio 3 times a week for 40 minutes.

I'm certainly no expert, as I am new here ... but I read somewhere that people who work out for at least one 1-hour session a week will on average lose 25% more weight than those who don't. It also may help if you change what kind of activity you are doing ... if you primarily jog/run, it may help to swim, or bike, ... or use an elliptical or stair-climber if you have access to one. Switching up activities may allow you to use a different group of muscles.

Good luck on your last 22lbs! :)
