Rokku's Journey: 23 Stone To 12 Stone!

Hiya,

I am new to the forum and thought I'd say hello. I'm a 29 year old gay guy living in north London. I have been obese for 10 odd years and since I am gonna be 30 in October finally decided to do something about it and take charge of my life. Can't believe I haven't made this effort in the last ten years!

I was 23 and half odd stone about 5 months ago and have managed to get down to 19.10 stone or so as of today. Its 45 weeks until Christmas, which means I need to loose an average of 2.4 pounds a week to be 12 stone by Christmas Day, what a brilliant present I could give myself.

It was a bit slow going at first, then picked up a bit. I have been doing 9 mile walks (4.5 one way, 4.5 back) but since the weather turned cold just not bene able to face it. Will do it again when temperatures reach about 8 and its not windy.

I have used Xenicol (fat busters) for the last couple of weeks and I think it may have helped but only at the times when I've eaten something I shouldn't. Might of only lost me an extra couple of pounds, but I think I will keep taking them anyway.

Mainly lost weight by eating less and exercising more. Have reduced portion sizes and tried to avoid carbs were I can. I don't have bread in the house anymore, or refined pasta/spagetti. I now have rice, small amount measured out, with a small amount of meat. Soup is great, you can have 2 large tins and its still only 500 cals combined. Sugar free jelly? Go for it, as much as you can stand lol. All makes you feel like you are not deprived and stops you from binging out as much.

I've also cut out potatoes as I just don't know when to say no... I could quite easily eat 4 large potatoes with lashings and lashings of Anchor Butter on it. Not good. No potatoes in my house.

If it's not in the house, can't pig out, that's what I say.

I did eat 4 times as much rice and meat yesterday as I wanted, small binge, so hopefully I will be good on the whole this week and loose another 2 pounds by Monday.

I overate this week, mainly Saturday & Sunday. I was very bad, I ate a whole pork roast to myself Saturday and another one Sunday.

I think it was emotional eating, I've had some crap to deal with this week, but not gonna let that stop me.
