right amount...

Hello - I am a 39 year old male, 5' & 10.5" and started at 225, now at 203lbs. A little over 2 months ago I purchased Power 90 - a 90 day body transformation program that alternates e/o day (6 days) a cardio and sculpt routine - each about 38-42 minutes which includes the strecthing/warm-up and cooldown. Also, on the cardio day, the routine is followed by an ab workout.

So, my question is this - I do the cardio e/o day first thing in the A.M. and I do the sculpt/weight training o/e evening - I want to know if it is OK to instead do the cardio 'every day' in the morning and keep doing the sculpt just e/o evening? I feel I am missing something when I don't do cardio on the sculpt day. Also, should I do the same cardio routine, or maybe change it up and do some running, jump rope and heavy bag to give the body some variety?

Thanks.

Personally, I do cardio every other day. HIIT rowing, plyo or kickboxing. If you are weight training I would not do cardio everyday, even more so if you are just starting out (your body might not like that). Changing up your cardio often is a great idea. Your body will get used to the same thing over and over again. Changing it up is easy though, you can even do the same type of cardio just change the intervals.
