Rice is it good?

I like to use rice in my meals. I have never stoped and thought about it but is rice good. I Have heard it is ok but not super good for you. I am not a big muscle builder but i like to eat healthy.
 
i use brown rice over white rice because white has lost most of the good stuff. this link will explain it better than i ever could
 
but truthfully i dont care for the taste of it. so i started steaming it in chicken broth with some cajun seasoning, salt and pepper and i have to mix it and eat it with my veggies and some chicken or round steak. ;)
 
wild rice technically isn't rice, but some kind of wild grass seed. it is, however, good for you, having a little more fiber than long grain brown rice.

Personally I mix in a little wild rice when I steam my brown rice. YOu can add boullion cubes to add a little flavor too, and sometimes I add a can of black beans to the rice (a whole bag) AFTER its cooked. This will add protein, carbs, and fiber.
 
I'm not too crazy about regular rice, but I found a good way to spice it up.Get a can of soup, one of the cream of whatevers, and combine it with a half a can of milk and a half a can of water.Heat it to a boil, then stir in two cups of rice, take it off the heat, cover it and let it sit for about 10 minutes while occasionally stirring it.The cream soup really adds flavor to it.Some personal favorites are cream of mushroom and cream of potato.
