resisting naughty foods

I've only just stopped eating bad foods like sweets, cakes, chocolate (for the most part), and all other types of fatty foods.

What I want to know is, will it eventually get easier to resist eating them the longer I go for? Will the temptation eventually die out?

These foods bring so much comfort when eating them, and I seem to not get filled up as much with healthier foods. If you stop eating them, do you remain without these comforting feelings forever or will you just stop craving for them? Or perhaps notice them in other foods?

(I am still having a cheat day each week by the way).

If you're going to eat chocolate, eat dark chocolate. It's good for your heart.

Now, the best way to resist foods, I've found, is to allow yourself to have them every once and a while, that's a good way to stay true to 'eating right.'

there are many meal replacement bars out there, like EAS bars that taste pretty darn good. Same with some meal replacement shakes. I have been on my training now for a month and have lost my "sweet tooth". I dont care about sweets anymore.

Holy shiat, Girthy. U lost 14 lbs in a matter of three weeks? That's incredible. I've been on mine for 7 days, and I haven't even lost a pound yet. What's the secret? What kind of EAS protein bar do u buy? U know, there's so many of them out there.

thanks, girthy. congrats on ur success!

Protein bars are not a clean food - they shouldn't be in your daily diet if you are trying to lose body fat.

Back to the original post, you will eventually stop craving the sweet foods. Not only that, but you will find that after not eating them for so long, once you have them again, they're not so great - I always feel crummy after my cheat meal because I'm just not used to eating unhealthy.
