Reps....?

So, I've got my workout down pretty good. The first week was a bit of trial and error to find out what weight I should be doing/learn how to do each exercise.

Anyway, I've been doing 4 sets; 12, 10, 8, 8 of each exercise. My goal is to get bigger, add bulk - and after reading some more things online I'm getting some mixed signals. It sounds like most of the sites think that 12, 10, 8, 8 is too much; so I'm thinking of knocking it down to 8, 8, 8.

I've also been hearing things about a 'pyrimad' approach....and that it was 'scientiffically proven' to be the best workout as far as muscle growth is concerned. I figured if that were true, everyone would be doing it, right?

Oh well, any thought/suggestions would help a lot.

I've always tried to do 6 or more reps. Ive heard the best is from 6-8, and some ppl say 10 is good for massing up as well. so shoot for 8, its right between 10 and 8. 12-15 will get you cut.

i think the pyramid approach is good because it will warm up your muscles. When I was bulking, I would bench 1 set 205, 6-8 reps to warm up, then I did 2-3 sets of 225, 6-8 reps.

also if u want to add bulk eat a ****load of protein (1.25 g for each pound you weigh), fat and carbs.
