Hello All!

Hope you all had a great holiday season! I am new here and I was advised to start a Diary, soooo here it goes!

I am getting married in July and I want to look the best I can. My goal weight is about 150. This means I would need to lose 69 lbs. I don't plan on losing it all before the wedding, but hopefully most of it.

My current goal is to lose 8-10 lbs in January

I am going on a 1950-2000 calorie a day diet, and eating no sweets (try my best!) It isn't all about loosing the weight, I just want to live healthier! I renewed my gym membership and plan on going 5-6 times a week. I also bought a pedometer and my goal is 40 000 steps a day.

I am hoping that I will receive some support here, and that will encourage me to keep going when times get rough.

My starting weight WAS 219....As of Right now I am 215, so I have lost 4 lbs! Yay me! ( I know I'm pathedic) lol.

Hey there :)

Congrats on starting your own diary! I find that they help a lot with this whole process.

A wedding in July! Congrats! That is a terrific motivator for weight loss, I would think.

Hope to see you around here.

Hey Renee! I'm brandy, I met you on the chat room here on WLF. It was nice to meet you, and I really hope you decide to stick around. I have met some truly amazing people here, and have gotten all the help and support anyone could even ask for! Congrats on the wedding date! Is it going to be indoor or outdoor wedding?

Hey there!

Welcome...I'm new here too! Congrats on the wedding....that is a great reason to lose weight. And I like the way you have decided it is a lifestyle not just a weight loss programme. I look forward to reading about your progress!

I promise to write a better reply in a bit, but I just wanted to pop on real quick and say hi. it's been great chatting with you!

Just wanted to welcome you! It was great chatting with you in the chat room today. I'm getting married too (in Sept) so I know whatcha mean! Good luck in reaching your goals!

Day 1

I was very suprised at how well I did today, usually if I'm bored and what not I'll just go snack. But today I didn't I tracked all my food and well I think I did fairly well!

Food:

1 cup Organic Yougurt w/ granola
Asian Chicken Salad
1 Granola bar
1 1/2 cup Rice & Shrimp
1 Mandarin Orange
4 slices of Pineapple
128 oz of water

I am on 1950 cal a day, but today I had a little less with a total of 1615 cal.

mmm, you've found one of my weaknesses. pineapple. It's one of those foods that I can eat outrageous ammounts of in one sitting. it's just so good!!

looks like you're off to a great start Renee. plans for exercise?

Ciao Bella

O ya I left that out didn't I! I went to the gym for an hour in the evening and did half an hour of pilates in the morning!

great job. wish I had better gym access. I'm one of those sick twisted people that actually enjoys eliptical machines. sad isn't it. ;)

I think elliptical Machines are fun! lol. Great exercise and food today renee! Keep up the good work, I know you can be at your goal in no time! Hope you are staying warm. haha.

Yeah your food was awesome! Good job on that! And good job on the exercise too!

I'm just curious, why are you on a 1950 cal diet? I thought for weight loss for women it was supposed to be around 1500 ish.... just curious, hehe.

I did this thing that and it all depends on your body, and how much calories it can maintain, and then they gave me that number to loose weight. Depends on your height an weight and age.:willy_nilly: Thanks Guys & Gals!

I had fun chatting with you! And... you are beautiful and can do this with no problem, hun!

Looking forward to following your progress.

Well, well, well... Day 3 was interesting. I found that I drank ALOT of water and I wasn't really feeling hungry, so I kinda forgot to eat regularly. But I did an hour of working out, and I ate about 900 calories :S lol. Anywho I am really looking forward to starting this 6 week challenge with a bunch of you, and I hope I will do good! I'm gonna work my big booty off! HA.

I've done something similar. I try to be so healthy with my food and it turns out I've only eaten like 1000 cals. So now, especially because of the challenge (because you get points on making your calorie goal) I'm going to plan ahead and make sure I'm within a small range. That way I won't be ending up doing the whole 1000 cal thing, hehe.

I think you're on team 2, I just got put on there too :)
