removing pear shaped body

I've tried running, weight lifthing, but it does not seem to work. Ever since graduating from high school, I'm loosing my body shape. From 17-22(now), I have this pear body shape. What things I can do at home during this 2 omnth break I have to really remove the fat. I've been rationing my eating not to eat to much, but the problem is still there. I'm not sure how does genes have anything to do with it, but my father is like this too. I don't want to end up like this.
I can get few aerobics cd's. At home I only have the thread mill and weights. I can take up squash, since I'm free now. Swimming too is possible. One thing I found out is that by skipping breakfast and jogging at 10/11 really does help shed 1/2kgs. No breakfast since I sometimes take snacks after dinner. Dinner is around 6/7pm. Snacks around 9/10pm.
Any web sites want to share that have ways of reducing the fat, in the breast area and stomach/abdomen area.

First off, keep your head up anything in life is attainable. Alright, the first thing I want to say is that you should start to eat breakfast and eat it everyday. This is very important since it will boost start your metabolism for the day. Second, try to eat 5-6 SMALL meals a day, the size of your fist or a little bigger. (see numerous threads on this site about such eating). The thread mill and weights you have at home are a great way to get into shape. But to keep you excited about fitness and not to get bored, squash is super fun and a get workout, swimming too! For you to lose this fat, you will have to do some cardio, but your diet is key. What you eat is crucial since any bad sugars you eat will just get stored. Now, genetics may or may not play a big role, but since you said your dad has the same problem, I can see that what your body is doing is its storing fat in those problem areas. Last thing im going to say is that fat loss takes time and patience. Give it time and good luck.

Breakfast is important, and patients. Will fasting be good? What cardio work outs would be good then?
Any type of excersice daily routine that anyone can suggest to me? I am free now for the next 6 weeks.

no no, never starve your self it is totally counter productive, you'll gain back more than you lost during the fast within days and it's not healthy

Fasting is probably the worst thing you can do when trying to lose fat - it forces the body into starvation mode - that means the body holds onto as much fat as possible to protect vital organs while burning muscle for energy instead. Eat 5-7 meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going.

As for cardio, do whatever you enjoy - treadmill, squash, swimming - all terrific options. Just be consistent.

Do a search on the forums for some more diet and exercise info. Perhaps check out the HIIT forum - pretty fun to do on a treadmill
