Reintroducing myself

Hi,
I registered a few months ago but haven't been an active member at all but that has to change so...

I am nineteen years old, uni student, six foot and around 290 pounds.

I want to try to loose about 100 pounds or more.

Please offer encouragement.

When I start excercising I am ok at it - I walked a lot over the summer and lost quite a bit of bit of weight. But since starting uni most of that is back. My diet is very unhealthy here. I do a fair bit of walking but it is nowhere near enough to make a difference.

I want to join the gym on the campus but I am a bit worried what the existing gym users will think of a guy like me going.

I know we will all try our best to help encourage you, but do know that motivation comes from within...no one can motivate you but yourself! But I believe in you!

what kind of changes are you going to make to your diet?
 
Eh...unsure...more water. More fruit.

Need to find a good protein source - I don't eat much meat and I never cook it.
 
Spend some quality time reading the stickied threads around the forum -tehre's a lot of information you need...
