ok so right now i'm going to jenny craig with my mom and so as long as i don't cheat i don't have to worry about counting cals.
however its the not cheating that's the problem.
i made a commitment to myself and too my lifestyle change when i joined this fourm last night. previous to this i've already lost 15lbs but i still have a lot to go.
right now i'm 5"0' and 207lbs and by this time next year i want to weigh 115-125 lbs

My problems:
don't excercise
don't drink water
big fat cheater

My plan:
jenny craig
bring water with me where ever i go so i'm more likley to drink it
instead of cheating post here
excercise is the problem how much? of what? and when do i have time to do it!?!
mornings would be the best time for me, because i have school during the day, and volunteer work/ extra-cricculars/ family obligations after school, and homework at night. problem is i can't seem to get up a minute before i absolutly have to in the mornings >.< need to find away to make myself get up

today:
i've been a good girl so far no cheating, eating what i'm soposed to.
haven't drinkin any water though >.< **reaches for a bottle of water and takes a gulp**
didn't excercise either... but there's still time for that!! i have multitudes of homework i'd love nothing better that to procastinate from, and a nice little session with the treadmill sounds a lot better than english;)
 
Hey there! Just wanted to welcome you to the group! I know you will find this place helpful and get alot of support and advice! I know when I first started i cut out my caffine and exercised almost everyday and I was ready to go to sleep at night! It made it alot easier for me to get up in the mornings! I've been dieting since October and when I'm at home I find it alot easier to put an 8 oz cup of water beside the sink.. when I get really thirsty I go and get a glass.. and cant move from the sink til it is all gone! I started this like 3 or 4 day's ago and I've made a big imporvement on my water intake! Have you tried Crystal Light?? That might help too!! If you have any questions let me know!!
 
If you do cheat hun post on here what you had and why you think you did it, it may help with the problem. Have a good week.
 
ok i excercized... but i didn't do my homework... oh well... and i drank some water... which is better than nothing right?

and i have tried crystal light but i don't really like it. it's not the taste of water so much that turns me off it but that i just never seem to be thirsty...

**sigh** i have a sister, she's beautifull, increadible thin, and she can eat what ever she wants and stays that way (to her McDonalds is a major food group) and usually when my mom goes grocery shopping she gets what we need and not much else, some goodies for my dad that he keeps in his bedside table, maybe a bag of chips for my sister that last like a day. but today she went with my mom. so now the house is full of junk food lol the very day after i plege myself to my diet. i feel like i've been set up to fail.
i didn't eat anything i shouldn't so far... even though the mini chocolate cup cakes were calling my name... but man am i ever tempted...

ok so i was a bad girl today.... i ate a mini cup cake. stupid chocolatie-goodness
but i drank my water and did everything else i was soposed to....
new plan, just avoid the kitchen all toghether. it's do-able! who needs to wander arund the kitchen anyway when they SHOULD be doing more important things, like english essays!
not me!!
but now i feel incredibly guilty.... especially cause i gotta post it here. ppl r right if u gotta record it for other ppl to see, especially, i'll probibly be a lot less likley to do it again next time.

Dont worry, I talk to myself all the time. So who cares about a minor indiscretion of chocolate stupid mini dingdongdumbstupid...what matters is your plan for tomorrow.

Can I share a trick I started to do when I realized I wasnt drinking enough water? Firstly, I buy the distilled water by the gallon. Here they arent but 48 cents each. I put each day of the week on them, and make sure that sucker is empty by the end of the day. Trust me, after a while you really dont pee as often, and your body will crave more if you dont get it all in there.

So POOH on the chocolatewhatsawhosit, and plan on a delicious healthy day for ONE DAY ONLY. Before long those days will add up in NO time!

You can do this!
 
I love SkinnyKates water idea, thats a good one :) since its kinda cold outside, and I'm just starting this, I've been keeping big cases of water in my trunk, lol. Stays cold, and I can grab one wherever I go. By the time it heats up, I'll be more use to drinking water.. Redwillow- your not alone- lots of people have probs with drinking enuf water :) Hope to get to know ya better :) !!
 
Hi redwillow! I have pretty much the same problems as you - I hate to exercise (so often put it off to the point where I don't do it at all) and don't drink enough water.

Maybe one idea to help you incorporate water into your diet is to drink a glass before each meal? Also, if you're anything like me, if you exercise, it will make you thirsty for water!

Good luck with managing your time and fitting in everything you want to do! It sounds like a challenge, but hopefully if you make a list of priorities by order of importance, you'll be able to squeeze in your exercising! (Personally, I've decided to make a rule that every time I watch TV, I have to work out rather than lie on the couch).
 
ok well i've spent my evening so far reading over everyone's diarys in effort to STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN and so far it's working!!! yay!!!!
anyway no cheating so far today, and as long as i avoid the kitchen there won't b any!
and last night, again in effort to stay AWAY from the kitchen i finished my english essay!! yay!!! see what can be acomplished!! 2 birds 1 stone type of thing, i love it when that happens!
i havn't excercised yet today mostly cause i stayed up so late last night doing my essay i could barly drag myself out of bed to b on-time for school, let alone get up early to excercise! but there's still time!!!! my mom has promiced to take me out tonight to buy some weights so i can start strenght training along with my cardio. as i'm not exactly fond of excercise to begin with i'm not exactly briming with excitement about this...
oh ya and just a question?? dose any one know how much water i should be drinking in a day in ml? and i've read some people mention that after drinking a lot of water u eventually don't have to pee so much, how long dose that take to kick in?
 
Wonderwoman had a really great sticky somewhere about how much you should drink at your weight, I can't find it tho... anyone know?? :) I think it said something like at least 64 oz, and another 8oz for every 20lbs over?? can't remember, but if you find it, its a good one :)
 
stuck to my diet today :) I AVOIDED THE KITCHEN!!!!
i drank all my water
i got up early and did my excercise, today way my first work out with the wrights and man am i ever sore
on the bright side i've decided it's definatly worth looseing sleep over to excercise in the morning. what a diffrence!!!! i had so much energy after!! and i was in a great mood for school!
OOOO and!!!!! i'm so excited!!!! well it's been kinda slow over the holidays didn't really lose didn't really gain but today was weigh in day at jenny craig and guess what!!!!!!!!! i lost another 3 lbs!!!!!! i was so happy my diet's working!!!!!
on the not so bright side my mom gained a pound and got a bit depressed. i didn't really know what to say cause ususally neither of us do well if one of us dosn't do well or my mom still dose well even if i don't. **sigh**
 
Yay for three pounds!! And good for you for likeing to wake up in the morning... I can't do it, lol....

also redwillow, if your finding it difficult to drink water you may want to try Fuze slenderize. its a new drink i found at the supermarket and its got only about 20 calories for an 18 ounce bottle. :)
 
Well staying out of the kitchen was great girl! You can do this you really can! Welcome to the forum!
 
It must be hard to loose weight yourself and see your mum have a bad week but it may also motivate her to do better. You have done so well this week to stay out of the kitchen and to exercise you deserved that 3 pound loss, don’t be sad hun.
 
thanks to everyone so much for ur tip about the water! i'm doing a lot better with it this time around!!! i'm at the point now where i want the water, i don't just have to drink it :D
on a not so good note i had my grad pics taken today >.< i hate pictures just remind me how fat i look :( pretty depressing actually. by the end of the year i will have lost a bunch of weight and i'll feel a lot better but the picture will be how ppl remember me and that sucks

What is your overall opinion of the Jenny Craig program? I have thought about doing that many times but never made it in there.

We here only take it one day at a time and one day without cheating is paradise !!!!!!!

Good luck and keep posting. :) Maybe your mom wants to post too.
