Really worth eating in middle of night?

Is it really worth eating in the middle of the night for bulking?

I'm prepared to do it but was wondering if many people already do it and can comfirm its all its cracked up to be??

One other thing, is it worth considering those special protein powders instead that are slow absorbing so you don't need to get up in the night? can you recommend a good one because I can't find any threads on here where people have talked about them specifically.

Thanks...

From what I've heard it works. Obviously this is extreme so there's no point to eating in the middle of the night if you aren't already eating plenty during the day.

I'm hoping some of the body builders will chime in, I'm a function lifter who just crossed over into body building territory

I've used this method plenty and it worked great for me every time I used it.One potential drawback to this is that you most likely will gain some unwanted weight due to the fact that once you eat, you will be going right back to bed.The primary reason for using this method is to maintain a steady supply of protein to the muscles, irregardless of the calories ingested.

I think this method is best employed by lifters who desire additional bodyweight but have not been able to successful put this weight on by more conventional means. Also, another good candidate for this type of approach is a competative athlete looking to put weight on quickly in a short period of time.

those nightime anticatabolic protein powders are a scam. yes they are a potential choice and yes they are better than nothing at all but there is nothing to them that doesnt beat plain old solid food in this situation. solid food digests slower than a liquid, thats common sense. dont fall for the empty hype

as for getting up to eat, IMO sleep is more important. have a solid pre bed meal and be done with it.
