Really going to lose the weight for good

I am so tired of being overweight! I am currently 170# and 5'3", yesterday I put my stats into a BMI calculator and it said I was obese. That was a huge wake-up call for me. I need to get on the wagon and stay on it for good.

Current wt: 170
Goal: I would gladly take 135, but 120 is my ultimate goal
Eating Plan: start eating better, purge my kitchen of all of the unhealthy junk food. I have fresh, in season produce to pick up every saturday at my farmers market.
Workout plan: workout at least 4 times per week. Alternate treadmill with elliptical trainer. Also fit in family walks in the evenings in addition to regular workouts.

Today I worked out, 30 minutes on the treadmill. A good first step I think. I started with walking 2 minutes and running for 1.5 minutes, but my leg started hurting really bad during the running sessions after only 16 minutes. Since I was committed to finishing my 30 minutes I just walked for the remainder. here is how I did: 130 calories burned, 30 minutes of walk/run, and 1.3 miles.

Tomorrow I will go on the elliptical to give my knee a break and the next time I use the treadmill I will try walking for 2 minutes, and 1 min of running. I hope to get to where I can keep that up for 30 minutes. After I can do that I will go for 1 min walking 1min running for 30 min.
Someday I will run for 30 minutes continuously!!

I can do this, I will succeed, there is no reason that I can not succeed, one day at a time I will eat better and workout.
