Weight-Loss really confused, please help

Hey everyone,

Really confused at the mo, i know that to lose 1 pound a week you have to consume 3500 less calories a week so 500 a day.

I am on a 1600 calorie a day diet and burn 300 calories at the gym 3x a week.

My BMR is 1542 which means after my gym i am still only cutting back about 250 calories?

Sorry if i'm not making alot of sense but i am really confused.

So does this mean to lose 1lb a week do i need to cut out another 250 calories some where each day or have i got it totally wrong :banghead:

i dont fill up on caleries lost at gym, seems like its defeating the object of going to the gym. i`m not hungry when i do work out tho so i`m not gona sit there forcing myself to it when i`m on a diet.
 
So do you think i will still lose weight if i stick to the 1600 a day and 300calories at the gym 3 x a week?
