Ready to Start My LIFE!!

Hi there!
Just wanted to introduce myself :) I'd say quickly, but not much with me is quick lol.
My name is Crystal, I'm 27 years old, no kids and recently separated. I've lost fifty pounds in the last year and a half but then was laid off, stopped going to weight watchers and gained almost fifteen back in six months. So now I've recently started going back to Weight Watchers and getting myself back on track. It's time to get ME back. The last two months have been extremely hard for me, but through it all I'm looking at bettering myself and my life. I found out that my husband, the man I've been with for ten years, since high school, was cheating on me. It devastated me, but I turned to my faith for strength and now it's time to get this show on the road! :p
I would like to lose 80lbs as my long term goal (if I lose more GREAT). I'm doing Weight Watchers and moderate exercise (I'm bad at keeping up with exercise) but I LOVE to dance. I do Latin Ballroom so that is a nice way to get some exercise in.
I look forward to getting to know some of you and adding to some support :)
MANY blessings!
Crystal

Welcome to the boards Crystal! I can totally relate to your story...I was married 11 years when my ex-husband 'moved' in with his girlfriend...I had no idea he had a girlfriend...lol But I totally know what you are going through it is devastating...BUT life doesn't stop because it...you need to focus on you during this time...I wish you the best and lots of luck....and I know you can do it!!!!

You will find lots of motivation and support here!!

Your story sounds very similar to mine- was with my husband for 12 years (married for 2) when he left- had a girlfriend. Through it I also managed to lose 60 pounds, and over the last two years gained 25 of it back.

Welcome, and I hope to see you around here often!

heya there.. sorry to hear about ur husband.. but u can use him as motivation for ur weight loss.. show him that u're looking better than before without him around! it's his loss to give u up! lol.. i'm sure u'll find lots of motivation and support in this forum.. take care! =)

Thanks everyone! You are very right, it DOESN'T stop me from ANYTHING. In fact, it's really pushed me to look at things in my life. Not that I think that he cheated on me because of anything that I did. If he was truly a good husband the thought would never even pass his mind. It was his choice and no matter how much it hurts, that is him and is not my burden to carry any longer. I know that I am a good woman. Faithful, loving, devoted all that good stuff. I know that right man will come around and I pray for him every day :)

Steve....**takes you by your arm and leads you on the dance floor**
Don'thave to ask me twice to dance! LOL

Take care everyone!
Crystal
