Ready to be me, and I really need your help =0)

Hi there everyone,
My name is Missy and I'm finally ready to be the real me. I'm 22 years old, and for as long as I could remember, I've never been happy with myself. I have always been the funny one who gets everyone to laugh and be happy, but I can't quite be happy myself. (It doesn't help that my best friends all look like super models!)
I have a wonderful and loving family and friends who have always loved me for who I am. Though this might seem like a blessing, it is a struggle because whenever I say I need to lose weight, they always tell me I'm crazy and that I'm just fine the way I am. This of course makes me feel loved, but it does not make me feel any better about myself. I need to be the one that loves me. But I know that I can't do it alone. That's where you come in! haha
I need the motivation to keep going and for someone to be honest and tell me where I need step it up if I stumble. But it would be great if you could help me up after I do.
I'm only 2 weeks from my college graduation, and when I get home, I plan on starting to run. I have treadmill, which is great for now, but I would love to start running outside (maybe even getting to a 5 or 10k someday!) I also would like to try meditation and/or anything else that might help calm my mind and help raise my self-esteem (which is pretty low).
Now that I have written a short novel, I will stop now! Any support or suggestions would be great! I just need a great friend (or friends) to help me find "me" and hopefully I can help you do the same!

It's great that you've found this great place. I know how it can feel really, it's hard to look at yourself and then look at your petite friends. I hope that you'll be one of them soon. I also hope that I can finally feel healthy and happy. It's about time.
I can be your friend, actually we have a little groupie that you can join if you want on here. Were all in it together if you'd like your very welcome to join us while we get the hang of this new lifestyle.
Well Missy it's about time you start loving yourself. First off I should mention before you ever start a weight loss journey it's something thats going to stick with you forever it's not about being a skinny girl..it's about changing your eating habits and loving your body/yourself slowly. Start with adding water to all your food. Drink like you've never drank before (hehe) exercise, the first week go for 3-4 hour walks.
Next week try jogging for 20-30 mins and add walking aswell. the 3rd week jog for 30-40 mins then add a speed walk. and you know the rest.
The hard part is..well everything but who said it'd be easy? no one
once you lose 20 lbs don't look back keep going. If you need a friend I'm here. You can send me a private message any time you want (just gotta wait 5-6 days to do so)

Thanks Cao! And nice to meet you =0) I would LOVE to join your group if you don't mind taking me in! And thanks for the running tips! I've always wanted to be a runner but I've never known how to get started. And trust me, I've got the drinking thing down! I swear I spend half my day in the bathroom haha And I'm really trying to eat healthy. I'm a vegetarian and it's really hard to find things that are different and flavorful, while being filling. That's a huge thing! Without the protein, it's hard to stay full for very long, but I'm trying! And I'm looking forward to changing the inside even more than the outside at this point! I'm ready to look in the mirror and see what everyone else sees!

Welcome! Getting outside is a great motivator.. with the weather getting better, the sun always gives me more energy. I think it's a wonderful goal to run a 5K (or 10K)! Go for it! I can't wait to hear about it :party:
