Weight-Loss

Howdy,

Ok I know this is going to sound an odd one, but bear with me :p

So I'm currently a uni student, and summers coming up. When at uni I often get something quick to eat on campus, due to not having the time to cook etc.

Now summers coming up which leaves about 100 days, to work, party, have fun etc :p

I usually won't have the time to cook nicely, because a) I suck at cooking, b) I'll be working and going out with mates lots, Burnt food mmm :puke:

Is it possible to have a fairly healthy diet made purely of ready meals/quick food from supermarkets? I know this sounds the opposite of the principle o_O

I'm thinking something about the lines of:

Breakfast: Toast/Orange Juice
Lunch: Packed sandwich (From supermarket)/Fruit/Twix or something
Dinner: Ready Meal/Fruit/Some kind of low cal desert

Anyone tried anything like this, or thoughts on it? Think it'll be too unhealthy even if you base it on the right calories/nutritional intake?

Just looking for something that's easy to get daily, not too expensive and quick to make :p

Thanks Steve

Not enough calories for your weight.

Work out your BMR, at your rate you could eat 2500 calories plus and still lose weight, that diet looks no more than 1500 calories.

Breakfast - looks OK. Toast sucks though, go for oatmeal or muesli, has more fibre and keeps you fuller. Add some fruit or yoghurt with it maybe?

Why can't you make meals yourself? You are not even at College! Of course you have the time to make your own food.

Go to the supermarket and buy lettuce, tuna, mayo, tomato, cucumber = sandwich, wrap, salad or salad roll. That easy and cheap!

Dinner? What about stir frys's? They are quick and easy, what about pizza's made with pita bread? grilled chicken breast with vegetables? Grilled fish with vegetables?

You are going to be eating too much processed foods, you need more vegetables in your diet.
