Ready for a change

Hello everyone,
My name is Meka, I'm 28 years old. I'm 250 pounds. My goal is to be 145 pounds. Is that possible for my to lose all that weight?:eek:
I think 2007 is the year for me to start my journey toward my goal. I would like to be healthy and more active in my life. My dream is to go shopping at a department store and I don't have to go all the way to the back of the store at the plus size section. I would like to walk up a set of stairs without getting tired and out of breath all the time. I would also like to look in the mirror at feel good about myself. I know I have a long way to go to reach my goal and I need to stay focus because I doing this all by myself.
I need to stay motivated and keep on going.
Starting January 1 2007 I am on my way to a new me. Will you help?:eek:

Meka you can do anything that you put your mind to!!! I am new to this forum also but I already feel so welcome. I told understand how the weight makes you feel and how it literally pulls you down. This is the year, this is the time to get rid of it. Check out the forum it has a lot of information. If you need a diet buddy give me a holler! :D It is hard to change old habits but it is not impossible. You will be shopping in the “non” plus section in no time.

Yeah it is posible I was 255 and I did at 1 time
make it to 188 before eating poorly for a month+ now!
But I restarted back on yesterday and I am going all the way.
I think alot of my main motivation to keep me on it was watching
my kids grow up I basically was a house hermit last year I didn't
go anywhere and I love to swim my sis in law lives a few blobks away
and has a pool and I didn't even do that I also didn't wear shorts take
my kids anywhere fun so that was it for me.Another big tip is go to a
2nd hand store and find the cuitest outfit a size or 2 smaller and make
it your 1st goal to fit in them.I did that with size 18's then 16's then
13-14's(now) and I have a few pair of 10's put a side that my sis n law
gave me to fit into my ultimate goal is a "8"!!!!
I hope this helps oh and another biggie that helped me out alot is being on
here there are lots of great people with great ideals.Also keep a journal on here and update it daily with foods,exersice ect.Have a gr8 day Tammy:D

Hi

Yes I started making plans for 2007. Tomorrow I get paid and I am going to go food shopping. Stuff I need to get for my diet. I am also looking for a exercise DVD too.
