Reached my goal...

...I'm 28 and for the first time in my adult life I'm under 75kg. Started out at 94kg this time last year with a bodyfat of 27%. After a trip to the doctor and some bloodwork and found out I was in not too decent shape and was at risk of developing type II diabetes. If fact the doc said I was almost bordeline. I also had a dangerous blood pressure.I then sat down and pencilled in 75kg as my ultimate goal.

This morning I woke up, looked at the scales and couldn't believe it. I had to rub my eyes and look again. It said 74.9kg. I'm around 12% BF

It took nine months to drop 6kg just eating clean without counting calories and on and off weight training. I was happy but wasn't satisfied with it.

On July 15th, after I got back from a holiday. I got serious about it. Used the greatest research tool on earth to find out how to do things better, Found this place, amongst others and started a workout routine based on compound movemonts and keep a strict diet on fitday. I dropped 11kg in 10 weeks and now I feel f**king excellent and don't want to stop.

The thing is I thought I'd be satisfied when I reached this goal. But I'm not, I don't want to stagnate or even worse, put that ugly fat back on. I don't want to be part of the statisic that says 90% of the people who lose weight put it all back on within a year. I'm going to get down to an even leaner base and then build some muscle on a clean bulk - My next goal is 8% bodyfat, and nothings going to stop me from getting to it.

Also had my blood pressure done the other week and it's returned to normal and the pains and numbness I had in my feet and calves due to poor circulation has disappeared. I truly feel like this has been a life changing adventure.

I lurked on here for a long time before registering and found some really good advice that has helped me a lot. I would just like to say thanks to those who take the time to contribute regularly.

Wow, that's really impressive bro  Glad to hear that you've reached a goal and still want more! I'm sure if you keep at it strong, you'll hit your 8% bf :)

Thats awesome mate. Did you take before an afters?

Well the after isn't going to be a problem. But I think my biggest regret is going to be not taking a before. I was mess a year ago. Between March and October I was the heaviest I've ever been and had little self worth. I even hated head shots. For some reason I store a lot of fat around the cheeks and neck, when I get put on weight and, no joke, I was starting to look like the prime time glick. Luckily most of that fat has gone and I can now see my jaw line. I avoided cameras like a plague back then. If I was at a party or family gathering and one came out I would disappear or look for any excuse not to be in the photo. :(

I even cut my drivers license up because I hated the photo. I was driving around without one.

I did something almost similar. I dropped 55lbs but that was in about a 2 and 1/2 year time-span. Honestly man, I wouldn't be scared of putting the fat back on. Once I've learned to lose it, I can gain and lose weight as I please. If you've lost a lot of weight through diet and excercise I think it will be much easier for you to do it a 2nd time around if you want to try to gain a few more pounds and cut from there. Don't think of it as the fat coming back, b/c you'll be in better shape, this time it will be a more healthy fat.
