I was wondering if this happens to anyone else...

So all i want is to be back to my skiiny self right!? But at some points i get cravings sooo bad that it almost makes me forget how much i am desperate to lose the weight that i want... i mean i want to eat something so bad that im like "what about ur diet?!" and it seems to not matter when i get to that point!

Just wondering if anyone else has dealt w/ that and also how you get thru it when ur RAVENOUS!

ask yourself what you are really craving... and have it in a portion controlled size... deprivation leads to binging... so moderation is your long term friend

I know exactly how you feel, I do the same thing. Every morning I start out feeling motivated and set little goals for myself to follow throughout the day, then as soon as I hear the faintest grumble in my stomach or see a food commercial I run for the fridge. That craving takes total control over my brain and I lose the capacity to think until AFTER the craving is satisfied. Then my brain wakes up again and the guilt sets in.

Problem is I KNOW I'm not hungry, that it's just a craving, but it's hard to control. The thing that works best for me is to keep myself busy all the time so it doesn't leave much time to think about food. As long as I'm preoccupied with something it's not that bad.

...I wanted to add one more thing. The other thing I try to do to keep the cravings under control is to have lots and lots of fruits lying around the house. Then when I feel a craving coming on that I just don't have the willpower to fight I run for the fruit before I get a chance to grab something unhealthy.

And let me tell you, I go through at least two bags of apples, pears and a dozen bananas a week. I guess at least I'm getting my share of fruit.

I crave chocolate like MAD!

Usually once a week or so but its my TOM at the moment so I want it daily.. by the kilo!

Hmmmm

Mmm, chocolate!

Lindt 85% Cocoa bars = 53 calories per square (just don't eat the whole bar, because that's like 530 calories!), 2g of carbs (0.75 of which is fiber) and 4% of your RDA of iron. For me, they have little enough sugar that they don't trigger sugar cravings. And they're so chocolately that one square is enough.

Last night, the carby cravings were getting to me, so I got some low-carb whole wheat tortillas and had one with peanut butter. (IMHO they're basically made out of sawdust, guar gum, and hydrogenated shortening, so it's not like they're healthy. But they're much less caloric than a bagel or a pastry, they satisfy about the same urge, and I like the taste of them.)

Also now in stores - fresh pomegranates. Very yummy, but they take me about an hour to eat just one.

I get mad cravings for sour keys and nachos!:(
But I don't deprive myself of junk, not at all.
Like malificent said, they key is moderation.
