Rapid Weight Loss Happened, Can anyone explain?

I had gone through a break up and was pretty down, instead of the usual drown myself in beer type of thing I decided to get in shape.
A friend back home in Florida gave me a workout plan because I have never been into physical fitness.
I started jogging and put my diet to all lean meat, veg and fruit, no carbs. I was at 124 kilos,,pretty bad, and iam 6 ft 2 inches at 42.
I could barely jog 2 mins straight and then would walk 5 mins, i broke out of that and increased my straight jogging to 40 mins of 2 months. Was doing it 6 days a week, combining it with protein shakes and all protein rich foods. I got to my normal plateau weight of 115 kilos and it would not budge for weeks. Now here is the weird thing and do not try it at home and iam not advocating alcohol, I just want to know what happened lol.

I decided to take a break and blow off some steam, I bought 2 bottles of Bacardi Rum and went all out over a weekend, I barely ate. I weighed myself after my little fun and noticed I dropped to 95 kilos, I wrote it off as dehydration. I checked myself 2 weeks later and it had not come back. It has been 1 month now and Iam still at 95 kilos, I went from 115 overnight to 95 k and it never came back, can anyone explain it?

I just find it odd after I drank I had a massive weight drop and it was not dehydration, I mean Iam not complaining but it is puzzling me and the woman who trained me in Florida.

On a side note, I feel great! So Iam not ill or anything, I just got in from a 50 minute jog with no break.

You drank all weekend and "barely" ate, and lost 44 lbs? I don't know about all that, but your body probably got starved for the nutrients that it's used to getting and broke down some muscle. That could happen when you go off of your normal healthy schedule to go on a bender.

Idunno, but it did. This has happened before. Iam living over in Germany and returned home to visit my Dad. I had gotten quite fat from no sports or anything. I went on a diet food that he orders which is hearty for big guys but low cal. I even drank light beer while back in Fla but was active just running around in the heat, I dropped 30 pounds in 2 weeks. My Dad was an Air Force medical officer and could not believe it and thought his scale was broken. It has probably been more then a month , I was being conservative and Iam still in there at 95 k,,maybe I have some weird metabolism. All I can say it is great not to be overweight and to be active. I have trained myself to healthy eating and if I get the midnight munchies I just blend milk with strawberries.

I did attack jogging though when I began, 2nd day I dehydrated but kept pushing myself, I went from 2 mins struggling to 50 mins straight on trail runs. Maybe I just pushed myself and got stuck on my plateua weight, and just triggered something with the bender, who knows!
