I've been on here sporadically, and I'm back for new tips. lol. I'm 24, 5'3" and weight about 155 right now. When I started to focus on losing weight 2 years ago I was about 215... maybe more. I was *very* scale shy by then. I was losing weight at a fairly steady rate until the end of January of this year...when I got laid off my good physical job :-/ Thoughts switched to maintenance while on a low exercise, low budget, and no-place-to-go lifestyle. I actually almost managed! Started at 147, went up to 162, then back to 155. Not great, but for 6 months, I'll take it! Now I'm back at my old job, and in a MUCH better location for work outs! My goal right now is to go walking/hiking, swimming/snorkeling, and bike riding each once a week. And I've managed for 2 weeks (the length on my new location)
Next up is to find a swimming pool for more basic exercise that's low impact on my knees.
I eat a pretty good diet - no dairy except for lactose free milk and yogurt, no red meat (prefer chicken and turkey), a variety of fruits and working on my veggie intake with edamame and whatever else I can include. If I crave sugar usually just find a small snickers, and eat that in moderation (figure let myself have some or else I'll do serious sugar binging. Been there, done that!).
My goal now is to find some homeopathic help. I do have some serious food craving, or eat more then I should if I don't pay attention. A friend told me I tend to think about food a lot. I believe him! I think about it even when I'm not hungry, which can lead to munching when I really don't need it. And that just plain sucks. Seriously.
Is there any natural herbs or anything of that sort that can help with appetite suppression? I'm not looking for the quick fix, just something to help with what I'm already doing. And anything to help with metabolism? I lead a pretty energetic life now that I'm working again, and would like to help give my body a boost with everything I'm doing. Or even just some suggestions of how to help keep my mind off food! lol. I would absolutely LOVE to see my scale show 13_ lbs, and not be embarrassed in a bikini.
Any suggestions would really make my day! Thanks,
Zella
