Weight-Loss

I heard that a good rule of thumb is to take your goal weight x 10. So wanting to get down to 180, I should consume about 1800 calories a day. Makes sense to me. I lift weights alot and three times a week I like to do an hour on the treadmill at 4 MPH. An hour on the treadmill at 4 MPH burns approximately 500 calories. Does that mean it's okay to take in an additional 500 calories. Maybe even necessary?

I suppose. I was thinking of it more like fuel than an excuse to eat more. It's just as bad to have not enough food.

I agree. You have to keep up your energy to work out like that. But you should replace those 500 cals with good cals. If you are just going to lose weight slowly by calorie counting that's fine. But adding activity is different. Does anyone know the equation that tells you how many calories you burn without exercise? I believe I was told that I burn like 1791 cals just living. My height, weight, age, and activity were all factors. I just can't remember how it works.
