question re: abs diet book

hi,

just got through reading the abs diet book. Now most of it is pretty easy to understand, but the calorie side to it has me, well not confused, but ive got a few question, maybe im not understanding this part fully.

It states that it isnt really important to "count" calories, and the alot of the emphasise is to build muscle and get lean. But to gain muscle you have to take more CAL in then what you burn, so with-out doing much cardio and just doing the circuit training and the 1 interval training session a week, i know that mucles burns fat, but what are the chances ill be gaining more fat?

Is there a certain calorie intake i should aim for, even tho it says not to count calories? I work in a factory as a process worker so i do alot of moving and burn a pretty good amount of CAL just at work. So how can i make sure that im not burning more then im putting in, while still not running the risk of putting on fat?
