Question on Protien Intake?

Well, Got a few questions here, some that dont blong in this forum and some that do lol. Given the hours i work and go to school....AND my pickyness lol. I need more variety in my diet. Rgiht now, its mainly just lean meat, chicken, grapes, apples, eggs, all that good stuff. I eat Cheerios for snacks sometimes. Anyways, most of you kno im trying to lose weight. But I worried im not getting enough protien in my system for my muscles to grow in the proper way. I have cut ALOT of things out of my diet, but I am going to start eating Whole Wheat bread for like a chicken sandwhich with some eggs, and maybe some fruit on the side. Dinner, maybe some pasta concoction lol. I dunno yet rly, still knew on wat foods have wat and wat amount of protien, fat, and carbs, I need to lose weight and gain muscle definition. Was thinking about seeing a nutritionist but I cant afford it so im back here again. I dunno, Im hopeing being on this clean of a diet, I will within a few weeks see some sort of results and within about 2-3 months see more. Any advice would help.

Next thing, Working out, and protien Shakes. I my goal isnt to gain weight persay but look better. Look fit and clean. Since I dont think im getting the protien i need, I am looking into some Protien Shakes or muscle milk. I heard that doing carido like I do (3 1/2 of running ellypictial machine) before weight training is not the best way? Should I weight train first then run after? Im confused? I also read that, I need about .8g of protien per lb. I weight? I think im geting some but I heard that, having a shake before you work out and immeditly after will help give u the protien and amino acids u need to help ur muscle grow and heal. I dunno, Im pretty new at all this really. I really dont think gaining is a bad thing..but..I want my gut gone so now Im really going on wat I look like. So if yal lhav any opinions on this stuff feel free to post I kno i'll gain knownledge from it for sure! Thx for reading.

Be sure to be eating a serving of protein with every meal you eat - 6 egg whites, 1/2 - 1 can of tuna, grilled chicken breast, cottage cheese, etc.

It's ideal to do cardio adn weights at different times during the day. But if you can't make it to the gym twice/day, do cardio AFTER lifting.

You don't need the protein shake before, but you DO need it after. Post work-out meal should be protein + carbs.

Try being more concise and coherent for your posts and then I can answer your questions better.

haha Alright sorry, the post was made sorta later no telling if i re-read it wat it'll sound like lol. And thx for the info, Reallly only taking the protien shake cuz I need more cals and protien in my diet, but I guess I need muscle to, since muscle does burn fat. And as far as working out, yea I got class all day long and work when im not there + I have night classes Mon-Thrus. So its kinda hard to get a real good afternoon workout I need. Usually, all my work outs are at night. Around 9pm and 10pm. Is that bad? Im going to sit down tongiht and read all that Im eating and figure out my protien intake and see wat else I can add to my meals to help me get a lil more. Cuz I def. fear that my muscles wont grow without it. And yea, I kinda need them lol. Why should I lift and then do carido? Ever since I been working out (bout a year), Iv always done Carido first and alot of it....then I left weights. Wats the benefit of lifting first? Thx again!

by doing cardio first, you're building up cortisol, and using up muscle glycogen. Thus by the time you hit the weights, your muscles are catabolic (destroying muscle tissue for energy), and you have low glycogen (energy) in the muscles, so you end up with weak weight training session and really weak muscles. When you lift, the body can't use fat stores effectively for energy. When you're doing cardio the body has a better chance of tapping into fat for energy since you're not looking for a huge burst of it all at once.
It's better to alternate dats on cardio and weights. Aim for 3 days of weights, 3-4 days of cardio.
