Question for those with weight loss success...

Generally speaking, I would consider my weight loss a success. I've lost well over a hundred and fifty pounds, and I've stayed around 125 lbs for a good year now. I'm fairly tall (5'10" or so), so the numbers all tell me I've fallen more to the skinny side.

However... Because I am half the size I was, I feel my body hasn't adjusted properly. Does anyone else have this issue? Lately I've been looking at other girls (of ALL sizes), and it seems very clear that their legs/arms/butt all flow together nicely, and mine are kind of choppy and irregular because stuff that once was there is now missing. And goodness, do stretch marks ever go away?

I'm INCREDIBLY pleased that I finally rolled those numbers backward, but I never thought I would still be wearing baggy clothes and hiding my figure. To those who have reached your goals, did you ever have anything like this? I figure that I either need to hit the gym harder and really work on toning (if that can help?), or it's just something that I will learn to get used to. Any thoughts?

Hi. I am like you and I lost 145 pounds. I am probably older than you- I am 52. The stretch marks don't go away but they will fade- they turn into a whitish streak eventually. You body has gone through a big change. I don't know if you have excess skin afterwards but I did. Eventually mine did tighten up as least as tight as it is going to get at 52-lol. I had some body issues too - even though I was 175 pounds I still wore baggy clothes. My mind still seen me at 320 pounds. Eventually you will find some nice smaller clothes that fit you well and you will realize your true size. Exercise will help tighten things up for sure. I took up running and that helped as well. Congratulations on your achievement!! You should be so proud of yourself.
