Question about weight training/working out and aching legs

I'm new here, so hello all! I'm a 37 yr old female and I started weight training/working out with a trainer about 6 months ago. I LOVE IT and have seen much improvement. I'm 5'4" and 122 lbs. I started out at 137 lbs. My body fat was 24.2% and it's down to 17.3%. So, I've had tons of success. My question is about 2 months ago my legs started to ache. Not hurt, like after you weight train and your muscles are sore, this is like a constant ache in my legs (like how a toothache would feel). I train with a trainer for one month, 3 x's a week for 4 weeks, building muscle. Then, he puts me on my own for about 6 weeks and I do cardio/workout exercises. I work very hard and push myself. I told him how I'm feeling and he said that maybe I need to take a week off for my muscles to recover. I worked out yesterday and before my workout my legs were just starting to feel ok from Friday's workout. After Monday's workout they are now killing me. I dedicated myself to rest all this week. I don't know how I'll do it because I love to workout, but I can't take the pain anymore!Have any of you ever had this problem? What is happening to me?

Hey Samwarrior,

I just posted on another thread that it's not really a good idea to look for a diagnosis online. You'll need someone such as your physician or physiotherapist to do an assessment to figure out what's going on. There's no way someone can properly diagnose you without meeting you in person and doing a hands-on assessment.

Good luck!
